This year, Komatsu opened its Dubai Training & Demonstration Centre at the premises of Komatsu Middle East FZE, a wholly owned subsidiary of Komatsu. The 17,000m2 centre, one of the largest warehousing and training facilities for Komatsu outside Japan, houses a warehouse, training centre, office and a machine demonstration area with a viewing stand.

The Dubai Training & Demonstration Centre will allow Komatsu to showcase its heavy machinery to the Middle Eastern market and provide a high standard of training for its operatives and servicing teams, while also functioning as its regional parts distribution hub. A variety of training programs will be offered for sales, parts, service, and machine operations needed for Komatsu’s distributors.
The Centre will also meet a customer needs by conducting machine demonstrations and offering trial operations and training programs for operators. Komatsu plans to accommodate over 500 customers and distributors annually.

In addition to the Dubai training and demonstration centre, Komatsu operates 17 training centres in 14 countries. Komatsu will transfer its training know-how to support distributors with human resource development in the Middle East and Africa.

The ‘2018 Technology Day’ organised by Komatsu Middle East and Topcon Positioning Group in Dubai showcase latest technologies for construction site management. The event, which attracted over 180 visitors from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Pakistan and Turkey, demonstrated and simulated earthmoving processes on a realistic construction site and how state-of-the-art technology can optimize machine productivity, workflow and reduce operating cost.
