Central Motors and Equipment (CM&E), an Al Fahim Group firm, has opened the 14th branch of the Michelin Tyreplus service centre franchise in Jabal Al Noor, Abu Dhabi.
The Tyreplus franchise has enjoyed rapid expansion throughout the region since it was launched by Michelin in 2002: the Jabal Al Noor branch is the 31st outlet in the UAE and 111th in the Middle East.
Ismaeel Hassen, GM at CM&E, said: “We’re thrilled to be in a position to support the opening of the new franchisee right here in our home town of Abu Dhabi.
“We enjoyed solid growth in 2016 and a great deal of that came from tyre-related services as we doubled our revenue in the car maintenance section of the business.”
He added: “We’re confident the latest branch of Tyreplus will see similar success and our customers will continue to enjoy the comprehensive suite of premium products and services that we offer.”
Michelin asserts that one of the key factors to its success in the Middle East is working with renowned local distributor partners such as CM&E.

CM&E is the authorised distributor for Michelin Tyres in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and following a strong year for the business in 2016, was quick to re-invest in the opening of this latest Abu Dhabi outlet.
