Saudi Arabia base industrial service provider Expertise Contracting Co. has expanded its aerial access fleet to 85 units from Genie. Earlier this year, Expertise Contracting received delivery of 37 Genie self-propelled telescopic boom lifts which included the Genie S-65 and S-85 boom lifts offering maximum working heights from 20 to 27.9m. The delivery notably included the first two Genie SX-135 XC boom lifts in the country.
Offering from 300 to 454 kg lift capacity, the Genie SX-135 XC boom lift can raise up to three people and more tools and materials. As a result, the number of up and down trips to reload is reduced. Adding an extra 3 m and 125 degrees of jib articulation to the unit’s 43m working height and 27.43m outreach, the telescopic Genie jib extend enables precision access in hard to reach places.
The 37 new Genie machines have been operating in various sectors in the region, among which is Saudi Arabia Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), which specialises in manufacturing fertilizers, chemicals, polymers and metals. It was part of a maintenance contract with SABIC that led Expertise to purchased its two Genie SX-135 XC telescopic boom lifts.
Mohammed Ashraf, director of industrial supplies, Expertise, said: “Our new Genie SX-135 XC boom lifts enables us to offer customers the ability to do more and work faster using a single machine. Feedback from SABIC has been great. They are more than satisfied by the machines’ capabilities that have proved a perfect fit for the maintenance of their sites. We’re considering acquiring several more Genie Xtra Capacity units before the end of this year.”
