Oman’s Six Senses Zighy Bay resort has purchased its fleet of seven Nissan Pathfinder SV 4WD Hybrid vehicles, which will transport guests to the resort and take them for adventure activities in the vicinity.
Generally guests are picked up at the border of the Zighy Bay area, and transfered to the resort’s vehicles which will involve an off-road approach.
The hybrid vehicles will also be used to take guests to other attractions located in and around the resort – such as the Sense on the Edge mountaintop dining experience.
People movers will also be used for excursions to Dibba town, the resort’s own farm and to the marina for cruise trips.
The hotel’s general manager Aaron McGrath, said: “Until now, we’ve been using vehicles from a partner over which we have no real control of their environmental credentials; something which is incredibly important to our sustainability initiatives.
“We reviewed the vehicles available in our market and concluded that the Pathfinder SV 4WD Hybrid would be best suited to Six Senses Zighy Bay.”
The SUVs are equipped with a 2.5L supercharged four-cylinder petrol engine, combined with an electric motor.
Its claimed fuel efficiency is rated 24% better than a conventional mid-sized SUV, according to McGrath.
