As part of its on-going expansion in the GCC, Groupe PSA GCC has appointed Sridhar Govindarajan, as Head of Quality and Training.

Reporting directly to Peugeot’s Managing Director for the region, Rakesh Nair, Sridhar Govindarajan will oversee all aspects of customer care and product quality, as well as learning functions for Peugeot’s network of retail importers across the GCC.

Sridhar Govindarajan will play a vital role in the brand achieving the goals of its ‘Push to Pass’ strategy of which a core focus is customer experience. PSA’s ‘Push to Pass’ strategic plan is the first step towards Groupe PSA’s vision to become a global carmaker on the leading edge of efficiency and a benchmark supplier of mobility services. To achieve this objective, the Group plans to take up the major challenges facing the automotive industry, and accelerate the implementation of projects that transform growth and efficiency, particularly in digital technology. The Group’s aim is to increase its sales outside of Europe by 50 per cent by 2021 and to position its automotive brands in new markets.

Sridhar Govindarajan has over 25 years’ experience in the automotive industry. He most recently served as the Head of TCS, Nissan India and also worked with Nissan Middle East for over 15 years as Director responsible for TCS (Total Customer Satisfaction), Research and Development, Technical Training and Customer Call Centre management. He has a wealth of relevant experience to undertake the role and make a positive impact on the brand’s on-going rebirth in the region.

Groupe PSA has been making an aggressive comeback in the region with a focus on Peugeot and has experienced a significant period of growth. In the first quarter of this year, the brand posted record-breaking sales results with huge growth of 143 percent compared to the same period last year. And as the first half of 2019 closed, the French automotive manufacturer, reported a 60 percent year-on-year increase in sales in the GCC.
