Renault Trucks has appointed Grégoire Blaise as president of its Greater Middle East operations.
Blaise will replace Lars-Erik Forsbergh, who is relocating to Singapore to take the helm of Volvo Trucks’ Southeast Asia region.
Blaise most recently worked for Sunwin Bus as general manager and vice president of its China business. In his new role, he will be responsible for Renault Trucks’ operations across 21 markets.
Commenting on his appointment, Blaise said: “I am very proud to assume this new role at Renault Trucks. The Greater Middle East region is very important for us, and this has been demonstrated by the significant investments we’ve made in recent years.
“We’re thoroughly committed to serving our loyal customers in the Middle East, and my primary objective is [to] ensure that we continue to meet their needs and exceed their expectations.”
Since joining Renault Trucks in 1999, Blaise has held a series of management positions at the automaker. His previous roles include managing director at Renault Trucks Dealer Subsidiaries Holding for both Strasbourg and Marseille (2006-2012).
After completing a year as key account manager for Volvo Group Governmental Sales, Blaise joined Sunwin Bus. While there, he shared management of the stand-alone company, overseeing marketing, sales, manufacturing and purchasing, and development of Sunwin-branded products.
In his new position at Renault Trucks, Blaise will operate out of the UAE.
