The Perkins Engines Company has appointed Jaz Gill as its VP for global sales, marketing, service and parts, responsible for engines sold both directly to customers and through the company’s global distribution network.
Gill, who joined Perkins in 1988, replaces Chris Snodgrass, who was recently named VP of Caterpillar’s newly created product support and logistics division.
“Jaz is perfectly suited to this role, owing to his work for many years with our major global accounts — coupled with his deep expertise and previous leadership across our product support, marketing and distribution development teams,” said Ramin Younessi, president at Perkins.
“The Perkins team continue to focus on our valued customers and on building long-lasting business relationships, as well as serving them with engines sales, genuine parts and service support.”
Gill himself commented: “This is a wonderful opportunity to lead a truly global customer focused team.
“Over the last few months we’ve released several engine and aftermarket solutions to the market that have been positively received by our customers and end users.
“As we celebrate our 85th anniversary we have put in place a strong foundation for us to build upon, and I’m confident these new initiatives will position the Perkins brand for further success in the future.”
Gill will be based in Peterborough, UK, with offices in San Antonio, Texas, USA and Shanghai, China.
