German crane manufacturer Wolffkran is heading for “above average” growth in 2010 for the fourth year in a row.
The company has been building its red giants for over 100 years and now owns 600 top- tower cranes which it said has provided it with “flexibility and dynamics” during the global downturn.
“Every year it is a hard battle for medium-sized companies to acquire clients, market sectors and realise innovations. In times of depression just a few companies achieved economic success,” said the company “Wolffkran has (experienced) above-average growth in the last four years in terms of income and sales and ranks today as one of the top three.”
Germany’s Manager and Handelsblatt magazines have both ranked it as one of the highest performing companies in its industry and a future world market leader. It was also recently listed by Munich Strategy Group (MSG) in the top 100 ranking of most successful medium-sized companies from Germany.
Although it hasn’t yet declared its financial position for 2010, turnover in 2008 was €100 million and it employs over 500 staff.
