Chinese engineering and construction firm Sinohydro has taken delivery of new Dynapac compaction rollers for the start of road construction on Qatar’s Lusail new city development.
Two purpose-ordered Dynapac CC424 HF double-drum vibratory rollers have been delivered to Chinese contractor Sinohydro for the start of its road construction contract on Qatar’s prestigious new Lusail City development near Doha.
Both rollers join Sinohydro’s recently delivered CP271 pneumatic tyred roller and an older CP142. The company also has a newly-ordered extension for its earlier paver produced by Dynapac, all ordered through local distributor Oriental Trading Co.
Located just north of Doha and covering a 35km² site, the new city development will comprise 18 different districts. Work has just started paving the first kilometres of Sinohydro’s contracted 21.5km of roads and highways.
The Chinese contractor has opted for a purpose-ordered fleet of Dynapac paving equipment comprising two CC 424 HF double drum rollers, a CP271 and CP241 pneumatic tyred roller and paver.
