Stanley LaBounty, a business unit of Stanley Hydraulic Tools, has introduced its latest remote controlled demolition robot.
It claims that the F16 Remote Controlled Demolition Robot, its first for the mid-sized market, is the lightest “with the highest power-to-weight ratio, largest work range, and more proprietary technology and standard features than any equipment” in its class.
The track-based, electrically driven robot designed for selective dismantling of concrete slabs, stairwells, walls and other interior structures.
“The Stanley LaBounty F16 Remote Controlled Demolition Robot brings higher standards of power, productivity, and versatility to the mid-size segment, opening new opportunities for contractors to increase productivity and profits,” said Martin Schnurr, president of Stanley Hydraulic Tools. “It arrives as more aging or under-used factories, distribution centres, office buildings, apartments, schools, and other properties are viewed as renewable assets worth restoring through interior upgrades rather than total building teardowns.”
Speaking at the World of Concrete event in Las Vegas, Schnurr stated that it was that the F16 is the centerpiece to a strategic plan to establish “leadership in new products and technology in the company’s diverse worldwide markets”.
“By the end of this year we expect new products to account for 20 percent of total sales, doubling the 2010 figure,” he said. “We also are expanding our global presence, targeting 40 percent of total sales from South America, Europe and Asia.”
