Terex Construction has launched a new Backhoe for the Middle East market.
The TLB840, the ninth generation in a series of machines that dates back 50 years, is the biggest upgrade in ten years, said John Rotherford at the launch.Â
The machine includes new features such as a new curved boom for closer truck loading, a 94 hp air-cooled engine, a servo power synchro transmission and a re-vamped rear axle for “improved braking”.
Speaking at the official unveiling and presentation of the first machine to Abu Dhabi dealer, EAE, Rotherford told PMVÂ that he was confident that the machine will enable its dealers to compete on both price and technology with higher profile such as JCB and Caterpillar.
 “I would say this machine is techically far in advance of the rest of the market,” he added.
