Dubai has beaten European machinery show Samoter by two weeks in being the first to debut Caterpillar’s newest excavators.
The new Cat 374D and 390D Large Excavators were shown alongside a new generation of articulated trucks at a demonstration held outside Dubai’s Jebel Ali industrial zone. Over 100 invited guests that included Cat dealers and distributors were shown a display involving an array of machinery working in tandem.
“This is the best way to show off the new machines,” said Caterpillar spokesperson Mia Karlsson. “The excavators will establish a new industry standard for performance and durability in heavy construction, quarry, and mining applications. The new generation of Cat 735B, 740B and 740B EJ articulated trucks are designed around the operator and set new industry standards for performance and ease of operation.”
