A total of 19 French construction companies will be making a bow when Intermat opens its doors for the first time tomorrow.
This will be the first time an Intermat show takes place outside of Europe. Held every three years, it has been one of Europe’s biggest machine shows for some time, running in the spare year between CONEXPO in the US and Bauma in Germany.
However the organisers will be hoping for better fortune than at recent shows which have been hit by a series of bad luck such as 2003’s transport strikes in Paris and the full blast of the economic downturn in 2009.
Intermat Middle East starts tomorrow and will run until 30 March at Abu Dhabi’s ADNEC exhibition centre.
