Warren Erfmann acquired transport and logistics company Swift Freight Group from Barloworld Logistics (BWL) in March.
Swift is headquartered in Dubai and operates heavy vehicle, sea and air transportation services across Africa, India, the GCC and the Far East.
The deal sees Erfmann own approximately 70% of the freight forwarding division, namely those parts that deal with Africa. The name Swift Freight International will cease to exist as a result of the split in operations in Dubai.
Erfmann’s Dubai operation will instead trade under the name Swift Freight and will continue to operate from the same four premises they it has used for the last five years. All the business, assets and 150 employees have been transferred from BWL There are another 250 staff members and offices in India, Africa and China.
