Juma Al-Majid Group has been the sole distributor of Hyundai Motor Company in the UAE since 1983 and CEO Khalid Al Issa told PMV that vehicles have been picked for their suitability for local conditions and roles.
“This region has particular demands. We recognise the need for a new strategic approach to our market’s requirements,” he said. “Our aim is to become the number one commercial vehicles provider of choice.”
Hyundai’s vice chairman H Y Choi said that it was planning to aggressively pursue marketshare in the commercial vehicles space.
“Responding to market demand, HMC offers greater durability and superior performance with its newly reinforced trucks,” said Choi. “We designed and engineered the trucks to meet our customer’s requirements and reinforce our competitiveness. We have no doubt that the locally adapted products will maximise customer satisfaction with their economical operation.
He added: “We will employ agressive marketing to expand our sales.”
