UK equipment rental company Lavendon is preparing to exit the struggling Spanish market but has returned to profit in the Middle East.

The aerial platform supplier said that it is likely to “re-deploy to our other markets” with the Spanish market likely to be difficult for the foreseeable future.

In a statement revealing its results, the Middle East’s biggest provider of power lift systems said that rental revenue in the region during Q2 increased by 2%.

“In the Middle East, rental revenues returned to year-on-year growth on a monthly basis during the second quarter, although visibility for the second half of the year continues to be uncertain,” said the statement.
