Facility management specialist Imdaad is constructing a vehicle maintenance facility in JAFZA in Dubai that will conduct servicing and maintenance on its Imdaad fleet of more 150-plus small, medium and heavy vehicles.

The 10,000m2 facility will handle denting, painting, welding and tyre maintenance and will cost $3.3m to construct. Imdaad said the complex will be ready by June 2012. It also plans to expand on its 30,000m2 site further down the line.

Imdaad CEO Jamal Abdulla Lootah explained that the project will be in line with the company’s green strategy. For example, its four wash bays have been designed to ensure minimum environmental impact and the facility will also adopt recycling and water reuse facilities.

“The construction of the complex will enhance the delivery of premium-quality services, while ensuring that our vehicles are maintained according to strict quality and environmental standards,” said Lootah.

“Moreover, we have conducted extensive soil test and environmental impact studies for the project, while all the approvals had been received in early 2011.”

The CEO magazine Visionary of the Year winner continued: “Imdaad’s continued success as a facilities management services provider of choice has certainly created new opportunities to further expand our capabilities and add greater value to our portfolio of services.”
