Hyundai Heavy industries opened its new parts and distribution centre in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone this week .
The 3,000m2 facility has a capacity of 11,000 parts for heavy equipment such as its excavators and wheel loaders. The south Korean giant said that it expects this figure to grow over the coming years as it continues to serve 37 dealers across the middle east and africa.
The company is now the 18th largest construction company in the world and at the facility’s official opening it thanked its dealers for helping it to take a growing global share.
According to general manager Yong Su Kim, this is a “giant step by the manufacturer to back up the construction equipment and parts sales in the area”
“Hyundai keeps on growing it’s portfolio and we want to become the world’s best equipment manufacturer,” said HHI’s COO B K Choe. “This centre will cover the middle east, turkey and Africa with deliveries possible within 48 hours. However our vision cannot succeed without inviting advice and teamwork from dealers.”
