Jassim Transport & Stevedoring Company (JTC) of Kuwait has further expanded its power rental fleet by taking delivery of the first 15MW of a 54MW order of diesel generators.
The power rental division, launched in April 2011, provides top-quality power generation solutions. The delivery will be completed by the end of 2012. A further 80 generators of smaller sizes will be delivered between January and March.
With its far-reaching logistics network, JTC can offer the generators to any location in the region. Clients will benefit from increased cost-effectiveness, convenience and safety enhancement of the equipment.
Andreas Mohr, JTC CEO, said: “The market for diesel generators in Kuwait and the region is very promising. The equipment has been designed specifically for the harsh operating environment of the Middle East rental market, and is finished to the highest standard.
“They incorporate features which enable rapid mobilisation as standalone units, or they can be easily integrated together to form mini power stations.
“These generators are extremely quiet and are perfect for installations where keeping noise to a minimum is preferable. They are also fitted with the latest safety features required for use in safety critical oil and gas applications,” said Mohr.
With the new expansion, JTC is reacting to the shortage in installed electricity capacity within the region, and is ready to supply geographical areas, residential and commercial properties not currently connected to the local grid.
The first batch was officially handed over to JTC by Tim Wilkins, MD of Dale Power Solutions and DPS Kuwait agents Instant Access, represented by Chris Brocklehurst.
