Al Rehab Equipment and Machinery, the Saudi arm of FAMCO (Al-Futtaim Auto and Machinery Company) has completed a deal to sell 62 Volvo Construction Equipment EC210BLC hydraulic excavators to Al Swailem Company (MASCO), for use on the Haramain high speed rail project.
The sale comes on top of an order for 100 of the excavators completed in 2011.
MASCO are the main contractors for phase one of the Haramain high speed rail project (HHR).
Linking the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah via Jeddah, when completed the HHR will be a electrified passenger double line, with trains travelling at 360km/h.
