An Irish concrete equipment supplier has won a $626,000 (£500,000) machinery contract in Abu Dhabi, according to a report in the Belfast Telegraph.
Concrete Batching Systems will design, supply and install “two complete and fully automatic batching systems to a major precast concrete product manufacturer in Abu Dhabi to manufacture concrete products for Saudi Arabia,” said the firm.
The company which placed the order has not been revealed.
The deal followed on from a Gulf Markets Tour market showcase in Belfast, which featured around 70 Irish companies.
Concrete Batching Systems describes itself as a provider of turnkey solutions to the concrete industry.
Bryan Irwin, sales director, said: ‘Our success in the Middle East and other markets is based on our knowledge and expertise in wet and dry concrete production, which allows us to develop systems to the specific requirements of our customers.
‘We offer a total turnkey service from specification through manufacturing to installation, commissioning and maintenance with full technical support. Another key feature of our machinery is its modular design, which allows us to expand the systems for customers quickly and easily, thereby minimizing any costly downtime.
‘We believe that this flexibility and versatility gives us a competitive edge in the international marketplace.’
Their product range includes a range of batching plants, silos, and conveyors.
