Saudi Arabia’s exclusive distributor of Caterpillar equipment, Zahid Tractor, has been ranked second in the world in sales of CAT oil, according to a report by Arab News.
Zahid Tractor was presented with a memorial shield by Joerge Lieder, strategic global alliances manager-Europe Africa and the Middle East at Exxon Mobil, which produces the oil, and Kamal-Uddin Hussein, sales manager at their Saudi representative Arabian Petroleum Supply Company (APSCO).
Accepting the shield for Zahid was Hamza Zahid, parts and services sales manager in the Western Region at Zahid Tractors, and Pervez Malik, manager of production support.
“We, at Zahid Tractors, are proud of achieving the 2nd place worldwide for the sales of CAT oil, which is specialized for the use of Caterpillar equipment, reflecting the distinguished status of Caterpillar products in Saudi Arabia and its increasing role in the giant development projects in the country,” said Malik.
He added: “We are pleased with the fruitful and constructive cooperation with ExxonMobil. The support of this global company and its local ally dealer APSCO has played a great role in achieving this prime position. We look forward for more cooperation to maintain our highest service levels to our clients in Saudi Arabia.”
Last year Zahid Tractor was awarded Caterpillar’s prize for maintenance, the Contamination Control Award for Maintenance Procedures.
APSCO’s Hussein said that the strategic partnership with APSCO goes back to 19 years ago, within the general framework of the partnership between both global companies Caterpillar Equipment and Exxon-Mobil, which covers Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest market for the products of both companies.
