The plant, machinery and vehicles sector in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region is gathering pace, according to the organisers of PMV Live at The Big 5.
This growth, they contend, is underpinned by a significant number of large-scale transport and infrastructure projects across the region. At present, KSA is the biggest construction hotspot in the GCC, with growing volumes of machinery continuing to be sold into the country.
On 25-28 November, PMV Live 2013 will provide a platform for the industry to showcase products and technologies from across the sector. More than 350 regional exhibitors will take part, and the event is expected to increase in size by 25% on its 2012 showing. The outdoor area is set to be almost double that of last year’s event – a reflection of the resurgent PMV sector.
Organisers are even expecting some world firsts this year, with a number of exhibitors preparing to unveil their latest innovations.
“For those attending and participating in PMV Live, what has become clear in recent years is the need for an engaging platform,” said event director Nathan Waugh. “The live demonstration area of the event is one of its most popular features, creating an ‘as-live’ environment where these products can be shown in their true capacities.”
PMV Live will also host a number of free-to-attend education seminars and panel debates that will focus on key industry trends and future predictions for the market. However, the event will be more than just a showcase. It will also provide a platform for those wishing to do business.
“Last year saw significant business being done on the show floor, proving that the event attracts the right products and the right buyers,” said Waugh. “We are looking forward to uncovering the latest trends and innovations from across the industry in November.”
