Bobcat has launched updated versions of its two largest rigid frame telescopic handlers. The new T40140 14m and T40180 18m models boast increased maximum lifting heights, improved efficiency and productivity, and a refined user interface.
The updated handlers are available in both Stage IIIB and Stage IIIA compatible versions. Stage IIIB machines are powered by the 75kW (100hp) Deutz TCD 3.6 L4 diesel engine, which uses exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and a DOC-only solution to meet new emission standards. Stage IIIA models are powered by the Perkins 1104D-44TA 75kW (100hp) diesel engine.
The T40140’s maximum lift capacity is 4.1 tonnes, and its maximum lift height is 13.71m. The T40180, on the other hand, has a maximum lift capacity of 4 tonnes, but can reach a maximum lift height of 17.52m.
Whilst operating on tyres alone, the stability of both models has been improved to ensure minimal loss of lift height and capacity. The handlers’ hydrostatic transmissions deliver 95% efficiency, according to Bobcat, facilitating high power and low fuel consumption.
Both machines have been fitted with a new cab that offers increased protection and improved visibility. Moreover, their controls have been tweaked to provide a more user-friendly experience.
Numerous engine, hydraulic, boom, cab and tyre options will be available for the machines. A range of attachments, including digging buckets, concrete buckets, man platforms, pallet forks, jibs and winches, will also be offered by Bobcat.
