Nixon Hire has announced a joint venture with Al Jeri Transportation Group. Together, the partnership will continue the expansion of the Nixon Hire Middle East depot network in Saudi Arabia.
The United Kingdom-based plant and site equipment provider will open its first KSA depot in Jeddah with immediate effect. A further depot is scheduled to open in Riyadh in the near future.
Nixon Hire’s joint managing director Graham Nixon has been working with Al Jeri Transportation Group chairman Sheikh Hizam Zidan Al-Qahtani for several months to finalise the deal. The Nixon Hire chief is pleased with the progress that his company has achieved so far in the Middle East, and is confident that expansion into the Saudi Arabian market will serve to drive future growth.
“We have seen our customer base develop and grow very quickly, and we are confident that this is as a result of good quality equipment and excellent customer service provided by our team,” Nixon commented. “As well as growth in rental activity, we have also seen a steady increase in used equipment sales.
“The Middle East is presenting many additional opportunities for Nixon Hire at the moment, most notably the infrastructure development associated with the 2022 World Cup,” he continued. “We have high hopes that this success will continue in our new locations and look forward to opening the doors on the new depots soon.”
Nixon Hire opened its first Middle East depot in Doha, Qatar, in 2009, and the British firm has been trading in the Middle East ever since. The company supplies a range of construction equipment, including rollers, telehandlers, dumpers, excavators, backhoe loaders and forklift trucks.
