Lavatory solutions provider Shewee has unveiled its new ‘loo in a bag’. Peebol is being touted as a sanitary option for crane operators who need to answer the call of nature.
The question of what to do when you’re caught whilst working from the top of a tower crane has long-since frustrated construction professionals. The traditional answer has been to keep an empty milk bottle close at hand.
The days of such unappealing portable lavatories, however, may well be numbered. Peebol is a pocket-sized toilet that allows both men and women to relieve themselves anytime, anywhere.
The non-spill, odour-free, recyclable pouch allows users to dispose of their urine securely and hygienically. Rapid performing absorbent granules inside the Peebol convert waste fluid into a biodegradable gel. The units can be reused, have a maximum capacity of 1L, and can be disposed of in regular bins.
“This sounds like a great idea,” a crane operator told Construction Enquirer. “It’s just a question of whether contractors will provide this or simply leave us going in a bottle.”
