Komatsu America Corp will use CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014 to showcase bulldozers equipped with intelligent Machine Control (iMC).
Komatsu plans to bring four iMC dozers to the Las Vegas show in March. The new technology enables the machines to switch seamlessly from rough dozing to finish grading, meaning they can be more easily operated by less-experienced users.
iMC designers claim their system offers 13% increased efficiency in terms of combination rough dozing compared to add-on machine control systems. The proprietary technology could also achieve applications in conjunction with other Komatsu products.
Komatsu will also use the trade show as an opportunity to display a range of its new Tier 4 Final compliant machines, including excavators, trucks, wheel loaders, tracked log loaders, and forklifts.
The firm’s Tier 4 Final diesel engines will be fitted to all Komatsu America construction and mining equipment between the range of 3.3L and 46L.
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014 will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center from 4-8 March 2014.
