A pair of large-volume batching plants have been opened in Ajman at a combined cost of AED 45 million. The plants owner, Remix Tech, plan to complement the new facility with more than 100 mixer trucks, of which 86 are in the process of being delivered through April, and a further 20 will follow shortly after.
Commenting on the opening, Tech Group CEO, Mr. Ali Ghaleb Jaber said; “The ongoing construction boom in the region is excellent news for us, and we are putting in place the necessary measures to ensure that we are able to keep up with the demand for quality ready mix concrete.The additional plant and vehicles will enable us to meet and surpass current demands, which ultimately translates into faster completion of construction projects.”
Located in Al Jurf, Ajman, existing plant had already been producing ready mixed concrete, but the new capacity will mean that 450m³ per hour can be produced.
Concrete degrades in as little as two hours after batching, so the ability to deliver from plant to site is paramount. “We have at our disposal the finest equipment available, including state-of-the-art plants, a large fleet of truck mixers mobile and stationery pumps, placing booms and other equipment, all of which allows us to guarantee customer satisfaction and to produce the best quality ready mix concrete,” said Eng. El Fatih Siraj, General Manager of Remix Tech.
One of the challenges that concrete producers currently face is that mixer trucks are banned from much of Dubai in the day, so deliveries have to be made after nightfall.
The opening came in the same week that Readymix in a joint venture with Aldar properties opened more plant in Abu Dhabi.
This takes the volume produced at the site to 15,000m³ per day.
