Galadari Trucks and Heavy Equipment (GTHE) has launched the Komatsu PC200-8MO excavator in the United Arab Emirates.
GTHE is Komatsu’s authorised distributor in the UAE, and the launch forms part of the company’s plans to achieve a double-digit growth rate over the next two years.
Samer Khalid, general manager at GTHE, said: “With the increasing investment in the infrastructure sector and strong recovery in the property and construction market currently taking place in the UAE – especially with Dubai winning Expo 2020 – the company is foreseeing an increased demand for heavy machinery. This all translates to a great increase in business for GTHE over the coming few years.”
Komatsu has developed the PC200-8MO to meet user requirements in specific markets, including the GCC. The excavator was developed with “environment, safety, and ICT” in mind, according to GTHE.
“The new Komatsu excavator includes major fuel economy improvements that more customers can realise by reducing hydraulic loss and employing new engine control technologies, all the while maintaining optimum operating performance,” Khalid explained.
The excavator also boasts a high-definition ‘multi-monitor’ with KOMTRAX: Komatsu’s wireless equipment and fleet monitoring system.
GTHE believes that its latest addition, in conjunction with anticipated infrastructure investment in the UAE, will facilitate double-digit growth during the next two years.
