Terex Washing Systems (TWS) is experiencing increased demand for its products within the GCC’s quarrying industry.
The firm contends that growth in the region’s civil construction market is behind this trend. TWS has installed static, modular, and mobile plants across the GCC, with dedicated distributors in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, UAE, and Qatar.
“The return of growth in the Gulf markets is extremely encouraging, and presents exciting opportunities for TWS,” commented the manufacturer’s regional sales manager for the Middle East, Florin Ioia.
“We are continually developing our business and have to date supplied multiple washing solutions to a number of key customers in the Gulf region. We have a strategy in place to continue to expand and maximise on the massive growth potential that is here,” he added.
According to MEED Insight’s GCC Construction Report 2014, increased enquiries and demand in this sector is being driven primarily by growth in the GCC civil construction market.
The report points out that with a total of $59bn in contracts awarded during 2013, the industry is experiencing levels not seen since 2008.
MEED identified the civil construction market as the largest sector in GCC projects, driven by burgeoning economies and populations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.
In an effort to develop its activities in the GCC, TWS appointed a dedicated Gulf region sales manager in August 2013, with the aim of facilitating additional growth and providing a line of support for the firm’s distributor network and customers.
TWS has since experienced increased interest in modular washing products, such as its Aggresand and Aggrescrub ranges.
“With the continued introduction of new, innovative wash plants, TWS is set to increase market share in this region,” said Ioia.
