JCB has loaned one of its WORKMAX utility terrain vehicles (UTVs) to its local constabulary, Staffordshire Police.
The nifty little off-roader will be used by police officers to conduct high-visibility patrols around rural areas of the British equipment manufacturer’s native county.
Staffordshire Police, which has also been loaned a tractor for law enforcement purposes, will display its latest fleet additions at local community events.
“The JCB WORKMAX is perfect for going out on patrol in difficult-to-access parts of the countryside, and we are delighted to support Staffordshire Police,” a JCB spokesperson told local newspaper, The Sentinel.
In addition to its latest role as a crime fighter, the JCB WORKMAX is suitable for events, equestrian, and golf course management applications.
The WORKMAX line-up consists of the 6×4, 800 D, and 1000 D models, which boast top speeds of 29km/h, 40km/h, and 50km/h, respectively.
