Concrete supplier, Saudi Readymix, has started its annual national recruitment campaign aimed at Saudi nationals.
The company plans to recruit more than 800 new employees in 2008, raising the total workforce to 2,900 by the end of the year.
This year’s campaign follows the company’s investment plans of US $117 million (SAR440 million) for 2008 that will go towards opening seven new stations, increasing production volume by 30% and creating job opportunities for Saudi nationals.
The construction boom and increased demand on the products and services we provide has created a large number of opportunities for Saudi nationals within the construction sector,” said company president, Rami Khalid Alturki.
Saudi Readymix has doubled its workforce in the last two years.
Alturki added that in order to achieve the company’s expansion plans, it needs to attract a young and ambitious workforce. “We possess the necessary advantages to cultivate a rich working environment that encourages knowledge and learning,” he said.
“For example, we recently created the Corporate Development Department, which will be responsible for putting together intensive training programs for all our employees in all specialties.
In addition, we are planning to build a large research and development center in concrete technology to elevate our industry and build the future of our country.
