Indo Farm is seeking a UAE distributor for its construction equipment division.
Indo Power, the construction arm of Indian equipment manufacturer, showcased one of its lightweight telescopic cranes at the Big 5 2014.
Although the company is already selling units to the Emirates directly, it is currently liaising with prospective UAE channel partners in a bid to grow its local footprint.
“We’re looking for an exclusive UAE distributor,” said Lalit Jindal, manager for international business at Indo Farm Equipment Limited.
“We are in talks with a number of prospective partners. We expect to make our final decision before the end of the year,” he told PMV.
“We have a successful heritage in tractors,” explained Jindal.
“We are in the process of rolling out telescopic cranes for the lighter end of the market. Most of the cranes in the GCC are 25-tonne capacity units and above. Contractors with lighter requirements, therefore, are paying premium prices for heavy units.
“All of our machines’ capacities are below 25 tonnes. These cranes have the potential to become very popular,” he concluded.
