Kinbull has revealed that it is on the hunt for a channel partner with GCC-wide distribution capabilities.
The Chinese construction equipment manufacturer told PMV that it is focusing its search on Dubai, as it sees the Emirate as a commercial hub for the wider region.
The news comes as part of Kinbull’s broader strategy to increase the proportion of its revenue accounted for by exports.
“Our primary market is wheeled excavators,” said William Hao, business manager at Chongqing Kinbull Construction Machinery Company.
“We sell most of our machines on the domestic market, but we also supply overseas customers. At present, our main export markets are Iran, Indonesia, and South Africa.
“The proportion of exports is fairly small compared to Kinbull’s domestic business. However, we hope that this division will expand in the future; we would like to sell more of our products overseas,” he explained.
With the aim of growing its Middle Eastern sales, the firm has identified Dubai as the ideal location for prospective channel partners. Hao says that Kinbull is in the market for a distributor with the ability to operate across the region.
“We are very interested in speaking to prospective distributors based in Dubai because it’s the commercial centre of the Middle East,” he told PMV.
“From there, our partner could sell Kinbull machines both in the UAE and to neighbouring countries. Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait – we would like to partner with a company with the capability to supply all of these markets,” added Hao.
Kinbull has not yet initiated talks with prospective channel partners in the Middle East. However, the firm is keen for interested parties to get in touch.
“We’d like any potential dealers – whether in Dubai or in neighbouring territories – to contact Kinbull,” commented Hao.
“We are ready to export our products directly to the Middle East. We won’t be working through an agent in China, so the cost will be lower. What’s more, our prices are extremely competitive,” he concluded.
