Chicago Pneumatic has conducted a full range overhaul for portable generators.

The US-headquartered equipment manufacturer has divided its genset offering into two distinct lines: the Pro Line and the Standard Line.

The former includes models designed for intensive heavy-duty applications, whilst the latter consists of basic petrol units intended for occasional use.

“By launching our widest-ever range of portable generators, we believe we can offer the construction industry the best possible choice, depending on their budget and their requirements,” said Daniel Escuer, Chicago Pneumatic’s product marketing manager for power products.

“The models within both lines have different features, but what they all have in common is reliable performance, robust build quality, and simple operation to ensure users can complete their jobs quickly and effectively when on site.

“In this way, they perfectly underline our position as a trusted partner for the construction industry globally,” he added.

Professional, Advanced, and Advanced+ models comprise Chicago Pneumatic’s Pro Line. The Professional is designed for continuous usage, and is available with either a petrol or diesel engine. Users are protected by an optional earth leakage relay (ELR) in both engine types, whilst automatic voltage regulation (AVR) is available for petrol units.

The Advanced, also available in petrol or diesel formats, sports features designed to extend the genset’s life expectancy and safety, making it particularly attractive to rental operators. In addition to AVR, this model boasts an isometer and thermal protection circuit breaker, an electric key start, and a number of alarm shutdown options.

The Advanced+, meanwhile, is enclosed and soundproofed, making it ideal for demanding, dusty or heavily populated locations.

Launched last year, Chicago Pneumatic’s Standard Line gensets are tailored for private and professional users who only require portable power occasionally. The units are designed to offer user-friendly operation over a long service life, and are equipped with large, reinforced fuel tanks, ergonomic handles, and AVR.

Chicago Pneumatic says that both lines have undergone extensive field testing, and can be easily lifted or transported on wheels.
