JCB has introduced two new models to complete its QS generator line-up.
The British equipment manufacturer, which unveiled its first four-cylinder units last year, has added both a smaller unit and a six-cylinder generator to the QS range.
The six-cylinder models represent the most powerful generators in the QS range. The G165QS, G200QS, and G220QS are powered by JCB Dieselmax engines, delivering 7% fuel savings over the earlier QX models, according to the manufacturer.
JCB’s four mid-range QS units – the G65QS, the G90QS, the G115QS, and the G140QS – have been joined by the G66QS, the G91QS, the G116QS, and the G141QS. These generators are powered by the firm’s four-cylinder Dieselmax Stage III engines and have been tested in temperatures of more than 45°C.
The compact QS models, meanwhile, are powered by JCB Diesel by Kohler engines, offering 500-hour service intervals and single-side access. The G20QS, the G27QS, and the G45QS gensets drive Mecc Alte alternators, and feature components from Deep Sea Electronics and Schneider.
JCB’s four- and six-cylinder QS generators also come with the option to operate at either 50Hz or 60Hz, the latter making them suitable for use in markets such as Saudi Arabia.
With outputs ranging from 20kVA to 220kVA, JCB contends that its QS line-up is now equipped to cover more than 60% of the genset market by volume.
