More than 1,000 construction professionals have attended three FAMCO launch events in Saudi Arabia.
The UAE-headquartered equipment dealer, which represents a selection of brands across the GCC, conducted product introductions and demonstrations in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.
The events were held as part of FAMCO’s broader strategy to grow its footprint in the Kingdom.
“We acquired the previous Volvo Construction Equipment dealer in December 201,, and since then have been busy building our organisational structure, processes, and product offering in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” explained Paul Floyd, senior managing director of FAMCO Group.
“With these three events, our aim was to demonstrate the strength of FAMCO so that customers understand that we are serious contenders in the Saudi market, and that we are here to serve them with our extensive product portfolio, our unique service approach, and the FAMCO way of doing business,” he added.
Indeed, the distributor has grown its KSA range from a single product in 2012, to 10 as of 2015. In addition to equipment, FAMCO used the events to showcase its aftersales support capabilities, and rental and used options in Saudi Arabia.
“In line of our strategy and following our significant improvement of the aftersales services, and our strategic roles in countless undertakings in the Kingdom, demand for our products has increased exponentially,” commented Amal Almizyen, FAMCO’s managing director in KSA.
“We are pleased to see our machines operating in some of the country’s largest infrastructure projects as we have successfully established ourselves as one of the key players in the market,” he said.
FAMCO’s KSA equipment range caters to applications across an array of fields, including construction, power generation, storage and materials handling, and rental. The distributor is the authorised Saudi Arabian representative for Vovlo CE, CompAir, Hartl, Sandvik, Everdigm, Himoinsa, Dexion, Hart, Steril, and Nassau.
“Our business in KSA has grown to the point where our machines are operating in all major construction projects…and our market share is at a record high,” said Floyd.
“It was a delight to see how keen our customers and prospects are about our services and products, and very useful to receive their feedback,” he concluded.
