Zahid Tractor, distributor of Caterpillar machinery and equipment in Saudi Arabia, has been recognised as the largest counterbalance forklift dealer for Cat Lift Trucks globally, for the second consecutive year.
Yuichi Mano, president of Cat Lift Trucks in the EMEA region, presented the award to Raed Hunaidi, material handling manager for Zahid Tractor, noting: “Working with such a professional dealer helps build the future of our organisation and gives our customers in Saudi Arabia the level of service and support that they deserve.”
Herve Quatrehomme, GM of the new Dubai-based office of Cat Lift Trucks in the Middle East, added: “I am very proud of the results of Zahid Tractor. This award is a clear recognition of their hard work and excellent partnership.”
The relationship between Zahid and Caterpillar dates back to 1950, and led to the formation of Zahid Tractor & Heavy Machinery in 1967.
Both companies played a pivotal role in Saudi Arabia’s infrastructure development by supporting construction initiatives such as the King Fahd Causeway, the industrial cities of Jubail and Yanbu, and, more recently, the North-South Haramain Railway, Makkah Monorail project and Riyadh City Metro.
