Terex Middle East launched two products for the first time in the Middle East at the Big 5 trade construction exhibition.
The SX-150 boom lift and the Z-33/18 Z-boom lift were unveiled alongside the re-designed RL4 light tower.
The SX-150 boom lift can reach its full platform height of 46m in less than three minutes. The maximum horizontal outreach is 24.38m, and the boom can achieve a 21.34m outreach with a 36.6m platform height.
As the latest addition to the Genie Super Boom family, the SX-150 builds on the benefits of the 40.15m-high S-125 and 56.86m-high SX-180 boom lifts.
With four pre-programmable platform heights, the product is well-suited to rental companies, who can potentially benefit by charging a fixed rental rate according to operational height to optimize returns on utilisation. Terex’s Trackunit telematics comes as standard with this machine.
The Z33/18 is Genie’s first compact, lightweight, electric Z-boom – already launched in Europe and now available to the Middle East region – designed for both indoor and outdoor maintenance.
This articulating boom lift weighs only 3,640kg, with a compact 1.9m-wide wheelbase, and a boom that can achieve a horizontal reach of 5.6 m and an up-and-over clearance of 4.28m, while stowing away to a height of just 1.5m.
The Z-33 features Genie’s FastMast boom system that shortens ground-to-top lifting time, as well as long working cycles due to low-consumption AC drive transmission, a tight turning radius for excellent manoeuvrability, and the option of solid non-marking or multi-surface tyres.
The Terex RL4 light tower has enlarged the tank from 30 gallons to 45 gallons, providing a 50% increase in runtime from 60 hours to 90 hours, or seven nights.
It can now also has an autostart feature that with a photocell or timer allows the unit to come on automatically without the need to keep manually firing it up.
Genie also showcased the GTH-5021 R rotating telehandler and the GS-4047 self-propelled electric scissor lift.
