Damen Shipyards has delivered two barges to Bin Nowiran Trading & Contracting (BINCO).

The UAE-based firm delivered a Damen 4920 Crane Barge and an Damen 2405 Anti-Pollution Barge to the contractor.

The ships are the second batch of two sent to BINCO as part of a seven-vessel deal with between the companies that has already seen Damen deliver two 1605 Stan Tugs and a 3509 Stan Tug.

The 4920 Crane Barge is a heavily constructed, custom build for BINCO designed to clean and repair mainly floating pipelines, while the simultaneously purchased anti-pollution barge, will be utilised to contain excess oil pouring out of the pipeline.

The crane barge is the larhest vessel in BINCO’s fleet to date, and will be deployed for work on inland waters, in harbours, deep sea and estuaries that have especially vulnerable ecologies.

Damen Shipyards Sharjah is located in the Sharjah Hamriyah Free zone at a 284,000m² site, itself equipped with a 5,200t ship lift operating across a 120m x 26.5m platform with eight dry berths.
