Orlaco launches ‘CornerEye’, a HD camera and monitor system that displays a fisheye panorama of the corner blind spot between the windscreen and side mirrors on both trucks and heavy machinery.
In bridging these blindspots, the CornerEye system frees truck builders to opt out of the existing pavement and front view mirrors in their designs in favour of Orlaco’s streamlined, video-linked system.
By ensuring uninterrupted 270° frontal visibility, it also satisfies both class V and VI vision criteria.
Unlike mirrors, CornerEye acts “like extra pair of eyes that stay sharp in the dark and during bad weather, thanks to the high level of light sensitivity”.
The robust camera is waterproof to IP69K standard and also shock and vibration-resistant, allowing it to perform even in the most extreme and volatile conditions.
The system does not interfere with driver concentration, according to tests, and also cannot be affected by electro-magnetic fields.
Suitable for both trucks and heavy machinery, CornerEye is produced in accordance with the ISO/TS 16949:2009, ISO 9001:2008 and CE quality standards.
