CNH Industrial has appointed Marc Diening as CEO of Magirus, the group’s global firefighting equipment business, succeeding Antonio Benedetti, who left the company at the end of 2015.
German-born Diening brings a wealth of international experience in equipment manufacturing and senior management, including several years at Adtranz and four years as GM of Bombardier Transportation’s largest European site in Hennigsdorf, Germany.
Most recently, Diening was managing his own consultancy business, while earning an executive MBA degree from INSEAD.
“Heading Magirus, a company with such a great history, is an especially attractive challenge. The business has undergone remarkable development over the last few years,” explained Diening.
Alessandro Nasi, president of specialty vehicles at CNH Industrial, said: “We have recruited anexperienced manager who we have every confidence will give fresh impetus to the company and strengthen Magirus’ position as a leading provider of firefighting equipment.
“We are grateful to Andreas Klauser, brand president of Case IH and Steyr, for assuming interim management responsibility for Magirus over the past several months alongside his other functions.”
In 2015, Magirus unveiled innovations including the M68L, the world’s highest turntable ladder, capable of reaching a working height of 68m with its seven-piece ladder set.
