Children with special needs from Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities have thrown paint on a Renault Dokker panel van ahead of Ramadan in an experience aimed at nurturing artistic expression.

The Renault Dokker, provided by Renault Middle East in partnership with Arabian Automobiles Co., was parked outside at the front entrance of the Sofitel Dubai Downtown hotel and the children were encouraged to really let loose with their creative expression, and cover the vehicle in coloured paint.

The initiative, called The Color Splash, is part of ‘Planet 21 programme’ by Accor Hotels encouraging activities that enrich and help the local community, and was supported by Al Noor Centre, Sofitel Dubai Downtown, Renault Middle East and Arabian Automobiles.

The results will now be proudly displayed outside the property throughout Ramadan to educate the hotel’s guests and promote understanding of the special needs community.

Ammar Hilal, General Manager at Sofitel Dubai Downtown, noted: “Together with our partners Renault Middle East and Arabian Automobiles, we have organized this fun-filled morning to allow Al Noor Centre’s Children with Special Needs to express themselves and ignite their inner creativity.

“The new colourful Renault Dokker will be on display during Ramadan for all our guests to see and we encourage everyone to come down for a visit.”

Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities provides all individuals with special needs, regardless of background, the same opportunity through professional training and care to realise their potential and integrate into the wider community.

HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the honourary patron of Al Noor Training Centre for Persons with Disabilities.
