Auction company have sites set on GCC

Industrial equipment sale set for 28 January.

An auction firm have confirmed that it is to hold its first sale of industrial equipment across Europe on the 28th of January.

Already, more than 150 lots have been entered into the online auction. Unlike previous internet sales of this type, Iron Planet carry out an independent and guaranteed engineer’s report on almost every piece of machinery in the sale.

Tom Cornell, MD said “I am very pleased with the market reception to our European launch and the number of equipment consignments in our first auction.” He added that he believed on line auctions provided a ‘cost effective and convenient’ way to sell machinery compared with traditional auctions.

Iron Planet’s January 28 absolute auction features more than 150 machines from McCormick and McNaughton of Ireland, Pon CAT Rental of Denmark, Leibherr of the UK, as well as other suppliers from the Netherlands, France, Ireland and Poland. The auction features a broad range of equipment including aerial work platforms, backhoes, compactors, dozers, excavators, loaders, skid-steers, trucks and more. The firm welcome bidders from the GCC, with registration typically requiring just a bank letter.

“A key benefit that Iron Planet offers, unlike other auctions, is our guaranteed inspection reports,| said Cornell. “These inspection reports… ensure our buyers know the true condition of the equipment and can bid with confidence.”

Detailed inspection reports for each piece of equipment in the sale can be viewed on www.ironplanet.com. Inspection reports include ratings, notes and images of key systems as well as fluid sample reports where appropriate.
