Case Construction Equipment announced the appointment of International Equipment and Contracting Co. (IECC), a Bahwan International Group company, as its exclusive dealer for the Sultanate of Oman at an event in Muscat.

IECC was established in 1985 and has facilities in Mawaleh, Muscat, together with depots in Sohar and Salahah, and has more than 100 staff across sales and service teams for commercial vehicles, construction, industrial and surveying equipment.

The dealer, which already distributes CNH Industrial sister brand Iveco, has now committed to the sale and support of the Case construction machinery throughout the Sultanate, including its heavy and compact lines and the new range of Case motor graders.

IECC has 10 workshop bays, four of each will now be dedicated to the support of Case operations.

“IECC is privileged to represent Case in Oman and reaffirm the relationship that we have had with CNH Industrial Group over the last 10 years,” said Sheikh Ahmed Suhail Bahwan, chairman of the Bahwan International Group.

At the launch event, IECC displayed a range of the most popular Case Construction Equipment in the Middle East, including the 570T and 695ST backhoe loaders, a SR130 skid steer, a TX170 telescopic handler and the CX210B crawler excavator — ahead of a planned product event in February.

“Together we expect to see strong growth and the development of the Case brand in Oman. IECC and Case will become the preferred partners for companies in a range of industry sectors,” said Franco Invernizzi, senior business director for Africa and Middle East at CNH Industrial.

“While the Oman market has witnessed a challenging period owing to low oil prices, we foresee market stabilisation in 2017 and would expect to see gradual recovery towards the end of the year.”

Bahwan added that IECC will continue to invest in manpower through investment in training, facilities and mobile workshops.
