Al-Futtaim Motors has opened the largest and most advanced Toyota facility in the UAE – a five-storey, 14,000m2, 3S (sales, service and spare parts) centre in The Wave building in the Musaffah industrial area in Abu Dhabi.
The Wave will house more than 80 new and used Toyota models on display, while the service area includes 64 work bays and the capacity to accommodate up to 250 cars per day.
The building’s interiors have been designed by UK-based design firm Greenspace, which has a history of working with Toyota Motor Europe and other automotive retail brands.
Saud Abbasi, MD of Toyota at Al-Futtaim Motors, said: “We have designed the facility to put the customer first, and to offer all our guests interactive and engaging experiences regardless of the purpose of their visit.”
Fun features of the centre include a Toyota Design Studio where customers can build their dream Toyota using physical and digital design tools, a café for around 60 guests with free WiFi and charging points.
The Toyota Handover Lounge also allows customers to receive new cars in a private lounge space and drive away through a dedicated departure lane. There is also a 5,000m2 installation of LED lights installed by Abu Dhabi’s Cinmar Lighting Systems to display film sequences.
In the Toyota Play Space, children can drive electric cars on a 100m indoor track, in addition to 3D printers for live printing of souvenirs, a toy-building area and VR headsets for a gaming experience.
Abbasi added: “The Wave is not just a unique building that pushes the boundaries of modern architecture, it is a representation of our dedication to customer service excellence.
“Each step of the customer journey has been designed to include many forms of physical and digital interactions, answering visitors’ interests and needs during their journey at the facility.”
Al-Futtaim Motors has been the exclusive distributor of Toyota in the UAE for the past 61 years.
