India’s Sanghvi Movers has placed an order for seven Demag CC 3800-1 lattice boom crawler cranes, in it’s third major deal with Terex Cranes in the last two years.
The CC 3800-1 cranes will be primarily used for installation of wind turbines, at the various windparks spread over the country, with can lift up to 110t at 120m of height.
Sanghvi said: “We are extremely happy with the performance of these cranes as they are easy to assemble and dismantle, no maintenance cost, and because of a good product support.
“These next generation cranes will be utilised for future projects erecting windmills up to 160m hub height and 3MW capacity.”
The deal was signed by Chris Sanghvi, chairman and MD of Sanghvi Movers, and Steve Filipov, president of Terex Cranes, on February 21st at the headquarters of Sanghvi Movers in Pune, India.
Filipov declared: “It is a great pleasure to be here with Sanghvi today, and an honour to receive this order. It is testimony to our expertise in large crawler cranes and the confidence in which Sanghvi places in our products.
“With this new order, Sanghvi Movers will own 12 CC3800-1 cranes and 21 CC2800-2 cranes, and will be the largest global fleet owner for these Demag products.”
The delivery of the cranes for the new project is scheduled for June-August 2017.
Terex Cranes previously delivered eight CC 2800-1 cranes in 2015 and five CC 3800-1 cranes in 2016.
