Long standing Terex Cranes customer Sarens has ordered 18 of the new Demag all-terrain cranes for its fleet: eight AC 100-4L, three AC 130-5 and seven AC 220-5.
Terex first announced the resurrection of a range of five-axled Demag all-terrain cranes at Bauma 2016. The units will join a fleet of more than 1,500 machines, including around 500 Terex and Demag cranes.
“Besides the operational cost-efficiency of these cranes, we are convinced that these new all-terrain cranes provide a good mix of manoeuvrability, boom length, and capacity,” said Ludo Sarens, president of Sarens.
“We already have new Demag all-terrain cranes in our fleet, so from a standardisation point of view, this was a logical choice. Furthermore, the worldwide availability of spare parts is a big advantage for our group. Overall, the combination of these factors convinced us to place this significant order.”
Sarens is a global leader in crane rental services, heavy lifting, and engineered transport services, with one of the world’s largest inventories of cranes, transporters, and specialty rigging equipment.
Headquartered in Wolvertem, Belgium, it employs more than 4,400 people and has been providing its rental and lifting services for over 60 years with the motto: “Nothing too heavy, Nothing too high.”
