Linden Comansa’s Chinese subsidiary, Comansa CM, has launched the CML165, a luffing-jib crane with a 12-tonne maximum load capacity and 50m reach, for Middle Eastern, Asian, and South American markets.
This model is the third addition to Comansa CM’s CML luffing-jib range – created in late 2016 with the launch of the CML190 crane – and will be available from September.
The CML165 features a 45kW hoist mechanism with a top speed of 94m per minute and a drum with the capacity for 545m of rope – allowing the crane to work in projects of up to 270 metres in height.
With the optional 65kW winch that features a larger wire rope drum, this new model can build towers of almost 400m in height, working with hoist speeds of up to 131 metres per minute.
The new crane also features one of the shortest counterjibs in the market, at only 6.5m long, and an out of service radius of 19m to 22m, depending on the jib length.
These characteristics make the CML165 a perfect solution in narrow sites or projects with space restrictions due to buildings and other cranes or due to regulations restricting operators from overflying underlying infrastructure.
“We expect this new crane to be very successful in Asia and the Middle East due to the increasing construction demand in large cities,” said Andy Huang, sales manager at Comansa CM.
“Luffing-jib cranes are the best solution in congested sites and the CML165 is a great option for all types of edifice, and news of this new model is already receiving a warm welcome from countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Vietnam and India.”
From September 2017, Comansa CM’s CML Series of luffing-jib cranes will be as follows:
- The CML165 12t with 12-tonne capacity, 50m reach, 2,300kg jib-end load and 56.6m freestanding height.
- The CML190 12t with 12-tonne capacity, 60m reach, 1,550kg jib-end load and 64.4m freestanding height.
- The CML190 18t with 18-tonne capacity, 60m reach, 1,550kg jib-end load and 64.4m freestanding height.
Following the CML165, another luffing-jib tower crane is expected to be launched before the end of the year.
Comansa CM parent company Linden Comansa also offers a wide range of luffing-jib cranes to its customers worldwide: 14 models with maximum load capacity from 8 to 64 tonnes.
