Terex AWP has appointed, Buhan Okan Acar to the newly created role of Genie sales manager for Turkey and Caspian Sea region.
Acar first joined Terex in 2014 as a member of the Terex Financial Services team in Turkey, where he was responsible for customers across all of the Terex divisions in the region.
Prior to his two years in that role, Acar had several roles of increasing levels of responsibility with two rental companies in the region, before ultimately holding the position of general manager for rental operations at one of the leading forklift rental companies in Turkey.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working in close collaboration with Acar for the past two years. I have no doubt that his long experience and deep understanding of the rental business and local market make him the right person to support our customers in Turkey and the Caspian Sea region”, said Erik Geene, Genie senior director for strategic accounts and used equipment at Terex AWP.
“In addition to his sales role, Acar will continue to provide sound financial advice and solutions that best fit our customers’ specific business needs.”
Acar has an MBA in International Business Management from the University of Istanbul, and a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electronics from the Middle East University of Ankara.
In the Gulf, Terex AWP recently developed its distribution network by appointing Al Mahroos as its first fully authorised Genie distributor in UAE.
